Keep On Roaming Ltd is the controller of your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales at 2 Winchester Place, North Street, Poole, England BH15 1NX. We process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Please read this Policy alongside our Cookie Policy, which explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
Personal data we collect, and how we collect it
We collect personal data:
- directly from you - when you create an Account, buy a plan, contact our support team, or otherwise interact with us;
- automatically - when you use the Platform, through cookies and similar technologies, and from your use of the Services; and
- from third parties - such as our payment providers, connectivity partners, and social login providers where you choose to sign in with them.
The personal data we collect includes: your name and contact details (such as email address and, where relevant, postal address and phone number); Account and login information; payment information (processed by our payment providers); device and technical information (such as device model, IP address and eSIM identifiers); usage and analytics data; and the content of your communications with us.
Special categories of personal data
We do not seek to collect special categories of personal data (such as data about your health, race or beliefs) in the ordinary course of providing the Services. Please do not provide such data to us unless we specifically ask for it.
Why and how we use your personal data
We use your personal data on the following legal bases:
- To perform our contract with you - to set up and manage your Account, provide and support the Services, process payments, and handle refunds.
- For our legitimate interests - to prevent and detect fraud and misuse, to keep the Platform secure, to improve and personalise the Services, and to carry out analytics. We balance these interests against your rights.
- To comply with our legal obligations - including tax, accounting and other regulatory requirements.
- With your consent - for certain marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who may have access to your personal data
We share personal data with:
- our staff and group companies, on a need-to-know basis;
- service providers who act on our behalf, such as hosting, payment, connectivity and analytics providers;
- our connectivity and distribution partners, to the extent needed to deliver the Services; and
- government authorities, regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so.
We only use service providers that provide appropriate contractual safeguards for your personal data. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep your personal data
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it to provide the Services and for the purposes set out in this Policy, or for as long as we are legally required to retain it. When we no longer need it, we will delete or anonymise it.
How we keep your personal data secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep our measures under review.
International transfers of your personal data
Some of our providers and partners are located outside the United Kingdom. Where we transfer your personal data outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Know your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate personal data;
- ask us to erase your personal data;
- restrict or object to our processing of your personal data;
- request the transfer of your personal data (data portability);
- withdraw your consent where we rely on it; and
- opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's supervisory authority for data protection, at https://ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you approach the ICO.
