Question 1

Are there hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, and any taxes are shown before you pay. Travel eSIMs are prepaid, one-off plans with no activation fees, so you only pay again if you choose to top up.

Question 2

Can I top up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You don't need to install a new eSIM when you run low. Sign in, go to eSIMs, select your eSIM and choose Top-up. You'll see plans for the country or region your eSIM covers, and the new data can take a few minutes to appear.

Question 3

What is an eSIM?

Accepted Answer

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built into your phone. It lets you add a mobile data plan without swapping out your physical SIM card.

Question 4

When does my plan start?

Accepted Answer

Your plan's validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, not when you install it. If you don't use all the data within that time, the plan expires, so pick a size that matches the length of your trip.

Question 5

How does fair use work on unlimited plans?

Accepted Answer

Keep On Roaming® has a fair use policy for unlimited plans. If you exceed the fair use policy, your plan will be throttled. The fair use policy is 1GB per 24 hour period. If you exceed this, your plan will be throttled to 512kbps until the next 24 hour period. The 24 hour period starts from the activation of the eSIM.
